The Valor of Stillness / Isleten
In a world that measures worth by visibility, growth, and return, stillness is easily overlooked. Yet there is a courage in simply remaining – in holding space, unaltered, unproductive, and whole. This painting reflects a landscape facing transformation, where economic value threatens to erase the quiet beauty that cannot be priced. It asks what we lose when everything must justify itself through use – and what we might regain by recognising being itself as a value beyond all measure.
